KARACHI: The Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) on Monday stated that all illegally-built private schools and other unapproved constructions will be demolished and sealed soon in Karachi.
According to the SBCA’s notice, any construction carried out in the city by way of material changes in the use of land or a building other than the approved building pla
n and land development permit in violation of the law will be demolished or sealed.

It
also stated that criminal action will
also be taken in accordance with the law.
The notice further states that all the occupants/tenants/owners within the jurisdiction of Karachi division are hereby directed to stop all such illegal activities forthwith and resto
re the construction to approved building pla
n and approved land use plan in accordance with allotment/lease terms and conditions, for which the plan was approved.

Moreover, Private Schools Association of Karachi is
also requested to ensure shifting of their schools/educational institutions/tuition centres on proper designated location or a plot during winter vacations, the noticed added.
